Come and enjoy this cute A-frame in Traverse City! A beloved vacation spot to many, this cabin is located conveniently on Lake Michigan’s East Bay. With 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a lake view deck, a family or a few friends will have fun building a bonfire on the beach or checking out local sites.

Smokey Hollow has 110 ft. of private lake frontage. Swim, kayak or paddle boat during your stay. BBQ on the propane grill, eat on the picnic table, or relax on the deck with a cup of coffee.

There are three levels to this home. The loft, which hosts 2 twin beds. The main floor where bedrooms #1 and #2 are located. A walk-out basement which cannot be accessed through the house (only access is outside). The basement is used for storage but is also where the washer and dryer are along with some swimming toys.  

Air Conditioning: No air conditioning. There are 5 oscillating/box fans for guests to use to keep cool. All bedroom windows on main floor open to help circulate! There is a 2nd story deck off of the loft area with a screen door to also help the winds flow.

ATV's: No ATV/ORV allowed

Animals: Deer, Variety of birds, squirrels.

Bathroom: Bathroom is located on 1st floor—Full bathroom with tub and shower.

Beach/Swimming: Swimming on property is great! With a 110 foot of lake frontage, 60 feet is dedicated to beach. There is a new beach area which is 30x10 protected by field stone; this area also hosts a fire-pit. There are about 20 steps leading down to the water. Hard-packed sand beach once you step into the water.
Bedroom Configuration:
              Bedroom #1: Master bedroom on main floor—Queen Bed
              Bedroom #2: 1st floor—Single Trundle which can turn into a King
              Bedroom #3: Loft area—2 single twin beds.
Boats: 1 Kayak and a paddle boat are available for guests to use.  There are approximately 6 life jackets (mixed sizes).
Bugs: Typical Michigan bugs, however we do have a service that comes to spray every month.
Cell phone service: Verizon is really good.

              * Cross in the Woods: 2 hours (102 miles)
              * Traverse City Center: 20 minutes (14 miles)
              * Mackinac Bridge: 2 hours (117 miles)
Dock: No dock


Fire-pit: Yes, which is on the beach

Fishing: Some common fish you will see in the nearby lake are salmon and walleye.  Please be sure to bring your own poles as there are none at this property. Also, in order to fish in Michigan lakes, one is required to hold a fishing license. Click here to purchase your fishing license online. 

Grill: Propane Grill. Propane is provided.

Grocery Store: Peninsula Market is 3 miles away.

Heaters: 2 stand up tall-outdoor heaters are available to guests are on the deck for guests to use.

Internet:  Yes!

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I’ll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillow cases and bath towels.

Parking: Up to 5 cars are allowed.

Pets: No pets allowed
Privacy: On a private road. On the back deck, you can see a neighbors’ home, but it is about 500-1000 ft. away. Driving in, you will see homes.

Seniors: There is a gradual, but steep walk to and from the water. Please see pictures to get a better idea of the terrain. Also, the home is multi-story.  

Space:  3 levels: the loft, main, walk-out basement used for storage only (only accessed from the outside of home)

Televisions: 3 TV’s –1 equipped with cable (family room), 1 (master bedroom) is not equipped with cable but can live stream, 1 (loft) but ONLY plays dvd’s/vhs. There are about 25 dvd’s available.

Towels: Yes, we provide towels.  It's always good to bring extra though.

Washer and dryer:   Yes! There is in the walk-out basement. Laundry soap is provided.

Wood: Guests need to purchase wood on the way in to use for the fire-pit and the natural fireplace inside. Peninsula Market is 3 miles away which has wood.
