Rest, Relaxation and Rejuvenation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elysian River Escape. The house was clean and welcoming. The decor is vintage and brought back wonderful memories of my childhood home. But our favorite thing about our stay was beginning each day and ending each day sitting on the dock by the river.

FVR RESPONSE:

Hi Catherine! We're so happy to know that you not only enjoyed your stay at Elysian River, but also the fact that the home itself could bring back some pleasant memories or your childhood home! We love that you had a chance to take in the beauty of the river each day and night, as that is a hard experience to beat! Hopefully we can host another stay with you in the future!

Easy check in....A quiet, comfy place with pretty much everything we needed.Lots of room.Easily within driving distance for many local area hikes and downtown Grayling. The dock area is small but a nice place to kick back and watch the river flow.

FVR RESPONSE
Dennis, kicking back on the dock and watching the river flow sounds mighty sweet!  We're glad that you had a good stay, and we hope that you come back again.

A Restful Oasis
We have experienced this vacation rental to be a place that provides for us peace, quiet and an escape from the hectic, frenetic life we at times find ourselves within. The cabin has an easy access to a wooden dock in the river. It's bedrooms and bathrooms are good size, with a tub in the downstairs bathroom. There are eating areas in the kitchen and off of the living room. A family room/ den has a TV and DVD player. My wife and I have rented the cabin in the summer and have found it to provide comfortable temperatures, and equipped with well-functioning utilities. The cabin was well-lit and the water was from a local Artesian well, which tasted fresh and without an after-taste. The cabin has a deck out the back, toward the river and it has a one car attached garage. The cabin is located on a dead-end street, which cuts down the through traffic. It is far enough off a large road in the area to provide a quiet environment. The cabin is also close enough by car to the shopping and entertainment opportunities in the area. My wife and I found the Elysian River Escape to be a wonderful place to unwind, relax and breath deep of the beautiful surroundings. I hope others enjoy this restful oasis. We heartily recommend the cabin as a place to rest and unwind

We were here for Memorial Day Weekend. As always it was peaceful and calming for both of us. We rented a canoe at Shel Haven up the road. We drove into Traverse City for a day and went biking in the city. The weather was perfect... upper 60s to low 70s. We love coming here.

One of our family traditions is to go up north to this cabin for a few days during the summer, and we have a blast! There's a lot of great stuff to do- fishing, kayaking, shopping, and best of all, going to Wimpy's ice cream place! It's also always so peaceful by the cabin. The river is so relaxing and one of my favorite things to do is sit on the dock and let my feet dangle into the rushing water. The neighbors are extremely friendly too. They get to know you and treat you as if you've always been there. That's what I think I love most about this cabin- its location. You will have a great time there, and it will be a treat you will look forward to often!
