Fishing: Yes, generally East Lake has good fishing. Guests have had a good experience with perch and various pan fish.  Since trout tend to like fast-moving deep, cold water, there are not trout found on East Lake. Fishing poles are not provided.  You can fish off the dock or the rowboat. Feel free to bring your own boat. The boat launch is about 1/2 mile down the road.

Fishing License: You can purchase your fishing license online at http://www.mdnr-elicense.com/Welcome/Default.aspx

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillow cases and bath towels.

Parking: Park on property for free. 2-3 cars can fit easily and a trailer

Pets: 1 Dog under 15lbs. is welcome at this property! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $50/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on.  Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Privacy: There are just a few neighbors in sight, but with the foliage in the summer, it feels very private.

Reviews

Serene, idyllic, cozy
We had the best time at Coleman's cabin. It was well stocked, well furnished, comfortable, warm, and beautiful. The pictures do not do the view of the lake justice. The patio is amazing, the fire pit is in the perfect spot, the dock is well-kept, you could not ask for a better lake view. The property is easy to get to- right off of a main road. Don't expect cell service or even 4G Internet. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and ready for us except the loft bed was not made. The couch is very comfortable, but the other two chairs could be replaced with something more cozy. We really appreciated our time there and came back refreshed. The boat was in a good spot to get it into the water, but you have to be really strong in order to get the plug in. The owners are very thoughtful and have a lot of movies and games and cooking necessities for guests to use. There are also plenty of towels and washcloths, soap and anything else you can think of. Our time was far too short. Though the living space is small you can easily sleep six people in the cabin.

FRESHWATER RESPONSE:
Krystina, we are thrilled that you enjoyed Coleman's Cabin as much as you did, and thank you for this detailed review.  The UP at this time of year is stunning, and the cabin is the perfect place to stay in order to take day trips to the various UP sites.  Please accept our apologies about the loft bed not being made.  It was obviously an over site by our cleaner. We do hope to see you again!

We loved our stay at Coleman’s Cabin and highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a cozy quiet getaway! Fully equipped with a full kitchen, large private yard, fire pit, even satellite tv! The cabin is also conveniently located across the street from a small mart and gas station.
Thank you Freshwater for our very first Airbnb experience! This cabin was more than we expected! Beautiful view of the lake, cozy, clean cabin, and peaceful relaxation. We loved the personal touches such as snacks, board games, dvds, and even satellite tv for late nights. We were very satisfied with our stay with Freshwater!

FRESHWATER RESPONSE:

Great getaway
Very serene and comfortingly quiet. The cabin has everything you could want (except a broom and dustpan!) and the wooded area is breathtaking. Loved having the grocery right across the street from the lake. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the lake bottom is mucky and weedy, great for fishing but not so much for swimming.

FRESHWATER RESPONSE:

James, we are so glad that you enjoyed Coleman's Cabin.  It is a great place to go tor really unwind.  We'll add the broom and dust pan to the supplies at the cabin!

Serene, clean setting
It's a small cabin but well thought out and they make the most of their space. Beautiful, wooded setting and very few people around, which both I and my grandson loved. He fished a lot while I read. Lake is weedy and mucky so dont plan in swimming but thete is everything you need here for a great vacation! Wish they would have had a broom, dustpan and mop so we could have cleaned up better. Vacuum didn't work. The UP is stunning! Thanks for, in my eyes, a perfect vacation!

FRESHWATER RESPONSE:

The U.P. is an amazing place.  The raw beauty is something to be experienced.  We are happy that Coleman's Cabin fit your needs.  Fishing and reading out in nature sounds like the perfect vacation.  We hope to see you again.
