Holland is known for its annual Tulip Festival, a celebration of the blooming of the flower each May, but it is so much more!  This home, although tucked off the main thoroughfare for privacy, is just a short jaunt from all the Holland & Grand Haven downtown attractions, festivities, shops, grocery stores, restaurants and marinas

The view upon pulling into the driveway of this luxury lakefront home will mesmerize you.  Traveling with children? They may want to stop and play a game of pickup basketball on the half-court set up on the driveway. 


Upon arrival, you will be lulled into the beach town life. Drop your bags and head to the path of your own, private 90x20 beach. (Currently, the owners are taking time and care to improve the beach directly behind the property. Still, the ease of the pathway, with stairs, to the beach is currently 2 houses down from the lower level.)Tunnel Park West Nest Beach, Holland State Park Beach or Grand Haven City Beach are additional, nearby options. Beach chairs, towels, wagon, toys and a cooler is provided.

This thoughtfully designed space is the perfect get away for mature couples or families. Zzz’s by the C is ideally situated between Holland & Grand Haven along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Entertaining is a breeze with this spacious and open floor plan.

 


Ready to explore the water? Check out the Big Red Lighthouse in nearby Lake Macatawa (an all-sports lake) where you can rent or launch your own boat, jet ski or kayak at one of the local marinas.

**Since we pride ourselves in our transparency with our guests, there is construction at the house next door. While most guests have not experienced any loud noises or interruptions during their stay, there is always that possibility since new home construction is in progress.**

Air Conditioning: Yes, there is central air conditioning along with ceiling fans throughout the home.


 


ATV's: Yes, they are allowed for sole use on the driveway and trails. Do not drive on lawn.

Beach/Swimming: The good news is that there is easy access to the beach two-doors down from the home, you follow the pathway steps to the Lake Michigan beach.  Directly in behind the home, the beach is currently being reconstructed on the 90 feet of private Lake Michigan frontage.    There is currently no direct access from walk-out basement of the home to the beach.

Boats:  No boats come with this property. Feel free to launch and retrieve at the local public slopes.


Bugs: Typical Michigan bugs


Cell phone service: Most have great service.

Dock: There is not a dock at this property.


Drinking Water: It is well water. Some guests may choose to bring bottled water for drinking. 
 


Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.


Festival:  Tulip Time Festival (generally the 1st week of May)

Fireplace: Enjoy the electric fireplace on the main level!


Fire-pit: no fire-pit


Fishing: Some common fish you will see in the nearby lake are .  Please be sure to bring your own poles as there are none at this property. Also, in order to fish in Michigan lakes, one is required to hold a fishing license. Click here to purchase your fishing license online.

Grocery Store: 7 minutes away is a Family Fare


Handicap Friendly: Let us explain what we mean by handicap friendly…there is a zero-1 step entry into this home, and it is one level (a ranch-style home). The bathrooms and hallways are not up to official handicap standards and do not come equipped with special apparatus to help those in need.

Internet:  Yes! Free wi-fi.

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I’ll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillow cases and bath towels.

Parking:  No more than 6 cars or 2 truck/trailer combinations.

Pets: Pets are not welcome. Enjoy this allergen free space!

Privacy: There are neighbors right next door.


Seniors:Come one, come all! This space is great for those over 60. Sometimes when renting a home, you are never too sure about the terrain: is the home on top of a hill, is parking on a steep slope, are there 100 steps to the beach or the unit, etc. This home gets the FVR approval for the young at heart!


Snowmobiles:  a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground. Tulips: Holland is famous for the hundreds of thousands of blooming tulips each Spring.  Follow the Tulip Tracker in Centennial Park as the tulips bloom in their glory.
