Drinking Water: Well Water 

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fireplace: Gas fireplace on the first level. Basement fireplace is electric.

Fire-pit:
Gas fire table on the deck. Propane is provided. 
Firepit also available(wood not provided)

Fishing: Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike

Fishing License:  A license is required in order to fish in Michigan.

Fishing Poles: Not provided. Please bring your poles 

Games: Basketball hoop, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, other various yard games. Also, Sole access to basement with pool table and darts.

Golf: Firefly Golf Links 20 min (11 miles)

Grill: Yes! Gas grill. Propane is provided.

Internet: Yes. Internet can be very spotty. Not ideal for streaming video or meetings. Everyone by now has likely been enjoying the beauty of wireless technology. But, sometimes getting a break from WiFi can be a blessing too. Between the texts and emails and notifications to your watch, there are moments of rest and opportunities to reset and connect with others in-real-life. We hope you do not get aggravated at the lack of WiFi while staying here, but that you enjoy the WiFiLess and relaxing lifestyle at this lakeside cottage. Watch a breath-taking sunset. Notice that it’s often prettier after the sunset as the sky turns red or orange on the silvery clouds. Maybe capture it with a photo. You might just need to post it after you get home. We have tried every Internet provider available in the area, including Starlink. And as much as we’ve tried, nothing comes close to what renters are generally accustomed to. Just like city water and sewer, wired internet just isn’t available in the area yet.

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.

Parking: Please park in the spots in front of the garage.  No one else should be parking in the driveway but you. 

Pets:  Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on.  Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Privacy: This is a small cottage community with shared beachfront, each cottage has it's own deck, dock, row boat, This property has a Propane Fire Table, the firepits are for each small cottage. 

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.

Seniors: Seniors welcome! There are a few steps going into the house, and stairs going to the basement area. 

Televisions: Two. One in living room. One downstairs. Both TV's are streaming only and will require you to have our own streaming account login information

Towels: All bath and kitchen towels will be provided during your stay. Please bring beach towels with you!

Washer and Dryer: There is not a washer and dryer on site but Hometown Laundry of Clare is 7.3 miles away

Wood: Not provided. Fire table is propane!
