Snug UP is the perfect location for couples or young families to get away from it all! This property sits on the sandy Lake Michigan Beach, just outside Manistique. It's the perfect spot for day trips to Pictured Rocks or Tahquamenon Falls, or to take the short drive to Kitch-iti-kipi

Drinking Water: Drinkable Well Water. There is a Berkey water filtering system as well.
Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.
Fireplace: NO. Decorative wood burner but not functional - display purposes only.
Fire-pit: There is a firepit for guests!
Fishing: Bring your poles! Indian Lake State Park is approximately 30 minutes away offering a great place to fish. Game fish include Perch, Walleye, Northern Pike, Bluegill, Sturgeon, Smallmouth Bass, and Brown Trout
Fishing License: A license is required in order to fish in Michigan.
Golf: Indian Lake Golf Course: 20 mins (12.6 miles)

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I’ll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases and bath towels.

Privacy: The two adjacent lots are both empty!
Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.

Thank you so much for a wonderful, magical visit! We came to the UP for the first time from Chicagoland area and have loved it. The sauna and access to the beach made for wonderfully relaxing evenings. We had a great time using the grill and looking out at all of the beautiful birds from the porch. This was a wonderful cabin in a peaceful location right off the lake. It was beautiful and cozy, even with tons of snow, and I can only imagine how nice of a spot it would be in the warmer seasons.

Great place to experience some seclusion and have some peace and quiet. The sauna is awesome and the views of the lake are great!

Wonderful Snug UP
The cottage was exactly as pictured. Cozy. Bed was comfortable. Very clean. Lake Michigan was beautiful. Kitchen was outfitted well. Everything in working order. Location was exactly what we wanted, a mix between remoteness and close to some conveniences.

The location and views are great. Enjoyed walking along the beach and swimming. The cabin has not been updated. The furniture is comfortable

The views are amazing, the cabin was very outdated and dark. Fresh water did a great job.
