This home is centrally located in a small community, just outside of Munising (Pictured Rocks) with a store & gas station all within an easy stroll from the house. The Au Train Beach dunes are just across M-28, also an easy walk or quick ride.

The ease of getting to the ATV and snowmobile trails with quick access to Trail 417 is ideal. This Au Train area averages 152 inches of snow per year! Bring your active friends and family, yet please be respectful of excessive noise since there are neighbors in close proximity. There is parking for up to 8 cars, with room for 4 trailers.

The Lodge provides a phenomenal space for ease of sleeping, cooking and entertainment. It is well-equipped with your basic meal prep needs. There are plenty of sleeping options within the 6 bedrooms.

On top of it all, the game room can easily keep you entertained with foosball, indoor basketball and even a poker table. Let the fun begin!

Reviews

It was a last-minute booking for a work crew in Marquette, and the town was booked up. Found this place, and the extra drive time was worth it! Tons of space, rooms and beds. Great find!

Great space for our extended family to gather. Loved that all the adults had their own rooms and that there was lots of seating and amenities for gathering together for meals/hanging out. The area around the house was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed walking out to the beach and the small grocer. Very convenient to both Marquette and Munising.

The house was huge and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay. I will be back for future stays. We had an emergency situation and they responded right away. They sent someone out to fix the issue. I recommend booking here if you’re looking for a place to stay in Au Train, especially if you have a big group.

Easy to find and get in, clean and nice place. The only thing you have to be aware is that the wireless/ data reception there is spotty, so don't count on using your mobile while approaching the house. Thank you

This was our family’s 2nd time to stay here. The home is spacious and clean, and in a great location. Freshwater was very responsive to us when we had a question. We really enjoyed our stay.

The house was spacious and had plenty of beds. If you are going to bring young children, I suggest you bring plastic or disposable cups since there were mostly glasses in the house. Other than that, the kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed the house. The area is beautiful and there is alot to do. The kids all loved Pictured Rocks, especially the beach area. One thing to know, if you are from out of state, the State Parks charge you per entrance. If you rent a car with Michigan tags, your only option is to buy the Year Membership for the State Parks. Beware the mosquitos!!!!

Great trip! We had 5 families with a total of 18 people staying in the house and never felt crowded. Great location and easy to get to. The only thing that was needed was more fans for the rooms and mirrors to get ready in when the bathrooms were occupied. Great vacation!

Our second stay
We enjoyed our second stay at this property in AuTrain. We had 3 generations in the house during our stay. Roomy enough for the 12 of us. It is a nice walk to the beach where Au Train River runs into Lake Superior, however the beach access that was open has since been blocked off due to erosion. The convenient stores within walking distance was a nice feature to house location. The location was great driving distance for visiting the area attractions such as Grand Island Tours, Pictured Rocks, Waterfalls etc. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

FVR RESPONSE
Amy, we're happy to share the property with you for the 2nd time!  Our returning guests are the best review possible.  Thank you for your feedback, and we hope that 2024 brings you back for a 3rd visit.

We had a great time here! Beautiful home just a few minutes from the beach. Lots of space to gather with a big group and also a lot of places to get some peace and quiet. We loved the ample sleeping options! Lots of parking was great, too. We would totally come back here!

The place was clean and neat. Owner was very nice too. We did not have as many show up as we expected. Had to leave sooner than we wanted but it was a great time, talking about maybe making it a family tradition to come up and stay. Thanks

The Park Avenue Lodge was the perfect location for our snowmobile trip to the Au Train area. House was clean and the host was great to deal with. Would not hesitate to rent from them again for our next trip to the area.

Annual Sled Trip
This house can accommodate a lot of people and it is right on the trail. I do think it could use another bathroom, and better water pressure upstairs. The heat upstairs is very weak also. With all of that being said, I would definitely rent this house again.

FVR RESPONSE
Craig, thank you for your feedback, and we're glad that you would rent the house again.

The Park Avenue Lodge was very clean and the super host was responsive when we needed help with the upstairs TV. The location is very accessible to many activities that we were able to do which we loved. We are looking to come back again next summer! My only comment is the recycling bin was not in the utility room and it was not clear what we could recycle and there was no recycling bin in the garage. This was no a major issue, just a comment for future. Very nice house with lots of beds for sleeping and hosting 20 people!
