Handicap Friendly: Let us explain what we mean by handicap friendly…there is a zero-1 step entry into this home, and it is one level (a ranch-style home). The bathrooms and hallways are not up to official handicap standards and do not come equipped with special apparatus to help those in need.
Internet: There is Wi-Fi, but it relies on Verizon cellular. This is not a reliable internet connection for streaming or consistent connection. It can be very spotty.
Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I’ll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases and bath towels.
Parking: There is enough room for 2 cars, this is a shared driveway with the neighbor so please be courteous and park in front of first shed. Please do NOT block the shared driveway.
Pets: 2 Pets are welcome! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.
Privacy: Neighbor is right next door.
Seniors:Come one, come all! This space is great for those over 60. Sometimes when renting a home, you are never too sure about the terrain: is the home on top of a hill, is parking on a steep slope, are there 100 steps to the beach or the unit, etc. This home gets the FVR approval for the young at heart!
Space: Ranch style home.
Swimming: It is possible to swim right on the property. There is the grass which abuts to the water. Sand and vegetation, murky bottom. We suggest water shoes while wading in the water.
Televisions: 1 TV in main room with a couple local channels only.
Towels: Yes, we provide bath & beach towels. It's always good to bring extra though.
Washer and dryer: Yes! Laundry soap is provided.
Water: Well water. There is a high concentration of iron in the water. We do have a water softener. At times, there may be a sulfur smell.
Water toys: Floating dock, swim raft, 2 1-person kayaks, 1 stand up paddle board, 1 3-person canoe which are all seasonal
Wood: Please bring your own wood
