A Nice Lil Cabin
What a beautiful rental. It was the perfect place to chill-ax and sing around the campfire. This was a clean and well equipped little cabin that met our needs for a 3 night stay. Since it's not directly on the lake, it wouldn't have worked for a longer stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the living space was comfortable. Thanks for the fire starters!

FVR RESPONSE:

We're so happy to know you enjoyed your stay, Gail! It's great to read about the fun memories made singing around the campfire and relaxing, and knowing you found the home to be clean and well supplied. Though it's unfortunate you found it likely wouldn't be able to work for a longer stay, we are glad to know it could work well for the 3 nights you were there. Hopefully we will get a chance to host you again in the future!

Favorite lasting memory: Kayaking and fishing! Caught rockbass, small mouth and blue gill. Watch a kingfisher hit water right here in boat well. Caught fish, heard the loons, and played Euchre while visiting friends.

Nice Place
Clean and well equipped. The well water does have an odor but the kitchen has an RO unit that delivers odorless water for cooking and drinking. Beds are comfortable. Yard is a little steep but not a problem. Fishing wasn't great but OK. Water level was low so could not get boat in/out of boat well. Fortunately boat landing is very close. Parking is a little tight. Overall had a good time.

FVR RESPONSE:

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, Brian. We are happy to know you had a good time during your stay, though it is unfortunate about the water levels being low, and less than ideal fishing. Hopefully we will have a chance to host you again in the future!

The cabin was above expectations. The cabin was peaceful and quiet with all things needed for a very nice trip. It rained on the 26th, 27th, and 28th, but the sun was very bright with blue skies on the 29th. Still, we loved out stay! I'd recommend Back Door Deli (which delivers), and Chapel Dam Store has most of the quick need fixes.

The hospitality from the neighbors in the brown cabin to the right will be in my heart forever. Such a sweet couple. We would recommend the Amish bakery down the road (facing the road make a right, left at dead end. About 2-3 miles down the dirt road make a left about a mile down, 1st farm on the left.

Pratt Place a Great Place
Very nice would recommend to anyone. Upon arrival it looked a little small when we pulled up. Little to our surprise once inside that cottage it is laid out perfect utilizing all the space in the most efficient way. The rooms were cozy, and the electric fireplace gave a nice touch at night. The kitchen had all the amenities we need for our stay. There we some menu's left and we did order the first night in after a long drive there from the "Back door deli". Pizza and subs were at hit with the family. So, thanks for the menu. Great views and the small town of Galdwin nearby was pleasant. We played some of the board games provided. Overall, a great stay and will be back plus it being pet friendly was great for out small dog he loved, loved it. Only two suggestions, first add more lighting outside, the porch and outback have no lights and at night very hard to see. Next the kitchen, dining and some other areas had not window curtain so everyone and everything could see right in especially at night for privacy. Thanks again for allowing us to stay at your cottage. The Brenneman's

FVR RESPONSE
Phillip, thank you for your recommendation.  We're glad that you enjoyed all the cottage had to offer, and we appreciate your feedback.  Traveling with our pups is the best!  We hope to work with you again.

Restful Cabin
Our stay, even though it rained the whole time was peaceful. The cabin exceeded expectations. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to fix a meal. The whole cabin was very clean, with lots of towels, kitchen and bath. The yard and beach area had nice lawn furniture. We were even able to fish between hard rains. Overall a great place to stay.

FVR RESPONSE:

Hi Thomas, thank you for sharing your review! It is so great to know that the home exceeded expectations, and had everything needed to provide you with a comfortable, and well supplied stay! Hopefully we will get a chance to host you again in the future!

Very nice cottage
First, I have to say that this company was a pleasure to deal with. They were friendly, accommodating and generous. They maintained contact with pertinent information. Also, there were NO unexpected fees. I would definitely recommend them. The cottage was very nice! Everything was updated and pretty. It was clean, the beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped, and the central air was great. It took me a bit to find the lockbox, but it worked well. The only issue was that there wasn't any usable access to the water. The portion of the little pond that we could use was all mud. The water level was really low, but regardless, standing in mud to get into a kayak is not appealing. All other visible shoreline is private property. The view is pretty though!

FVR RESPONSE
Laura, thank you so very much for your kind words and recommendation for FVR!  It means a lot to us.  We're glad that you enjoyed Pratt Lake Place.  We're sorry about the muddy water in the pond, but we do hope to work with you again. Also the owner is planning on building a little beach area in the boat well next to the dock next summer for guests to launch the kayaks.
