Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.
Fireplace: Yes! There is a gas fireplace in the living room. There is also a wood-burning stove on the
lower level and in the garage!

Handicap Friendly: There are no additional features to make this property handicap friendly. This location also has 60 steps down to the beach on a slope.

Hunting: Hunting is not allowed on the property. Please follow all local and state guidelines if hunting in the area. There is a wood-burning stove in the garage, hunters are welcome to use it during the season to clean their game and keep warm. Please clean the area after use.
Internet: Yes! Highspeed Fiber Optic WiFi
Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I’ll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases and bath towels.
Outdoor Space: There is a large deck with a majority of it screened in.
Parking: There is room for 5 cars, with an additional spot for one car in the garage.
Pets: Two dogs allowed. Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.

We loved the place. Great for older dog, 3 lively kids and adults. It was the extras that were so wonderful: cozy blankets because lower level got freezing, towels, washer/dryer, flowers everywhere, fun pictures and accessories, kitchen extras like mic, fryer, spices, pots and pans. WE DID “BORROW “ your lighter though. Sorry! Games were terrific , table downstairs was great. Workstation was phenomenal! Your communications were great and I loved the sense of humor. Your beach is missing quite a few rocks but we left painted ones behind! Places to visit were so close and area ice cream stores are fantastic

This was the perfect home at the perfect time. Our stay was amazing!! During the day we all enjoyed the beach and watching the bald eagles fly over. At night we were astounded by the Nothern Lights show that was put on for us by mother nature and enjoyed many hotdogs over the fire at the beach. Weather was perfect and the house had all the amenities we required to make our stay very enjoyable. The Hosts were incredible to deal with!! Made the entire process very simple. Looking very forward to staying with them again in the very near future!! Rating... 10/10!!! Keep up the great work guys!!

Our family enjoyed an amazing stay at Greenwall Cottage on Lake Huron. Very private and peaceful but close enough to enjoy a day trip to Mackinaw Island and a few light house visits. As a family who enjoys biking we loved the 8-mile paved trail along the lake between 40 Point Light House and Rogers City/Seagull Park- our favorite! The home was well stocked with necessities and very comfortable. Appreciated the extra private rooms and spaces when family had different bedtimes (the littles). The screened-in back porch to enjoy family dinners and games was a favorite place to hang out. The fire pit on the beach to enjoy evening s’mores was a great hit! The only suggestion we would make would be to have a couple of kayaks on the beach for an added activity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
