Town Lake gem
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this nicely updated, comfortable 2 bed, 2 bath home on a cute little lake. I appreciate the vintage fixtures that were incorporated into the house by the renovator (and figuring out some of the quirks). We enjoyed relaxing in the Adirondack chairs gazing at the lake after hiking to waterfalls all day. We would stay here again if vacationing in Munising area. (I wish I owned this place!) Overall, a great place. Clean, well appointed. Good chat response (when my husband couldn’t log into internet at first. Shanks Suggestions for house: 2 luggage racks. (Since we were only staying 2 nights, we didn’t need to totally unpack). A non-stick fry pan would be nice to have. (We tried to find one in Munising to donate to the house, but couldn’t find one.) :( A mirror (small or full-length) in the master bedroom on the wall near the overhead light would be handy for getting ready or doing makeup. Vinyl shower curtain in master is getting a bit slimy and could use a cleaning.

FVR RESPONSE:

HIDDEN GEM!
We had an extraordinary stay at Town Lake Hideaway. The open concept of the house and large windows boast the amazing view from almost anywhere in the house that overlooks the lake. The house was remote enough where you really get to soak in incredible tranquility, but close enough to other homes in the community where you don't feel uneasy about being secluded. Our kids loved the outdoor space and had so much fun using their imagination in the boats ON and OFF the water. (Life jackets included was a great perk) We enjoyed bonfires and smores as well as stargazing at night. We found the dock and the yard to be in mint condition contrary to previous reviews. The bedrooms were so spacious and it was great to have 2 bathrooms in the house. The kitchen was equip with all things necessary to make meals and we loved all the board games for our family to use each night. The road leading up to the house definitely feels remote and is not paved (this is not a negative, more just to be aware) arrive with daylight on your first day so you know what to expect. All other days we arrived back in the dark, but had no issues because we already knew the road. I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. All the details thought of, down to low dimming lights throughout the house for families with kids. We would love to have stayed longer. Smooth check in process, and check out did not require a huge list of to dos. Thank you Fresh Water Vacations for yet another amazing stay for our family.

Town Lake Hideaway
A very lovely home in an idyllic setting! Although we stayed here two nights in a row, we spent our time exploring nearby Munising. Next time we are in the area and staying at this home in paradise, we will spend more time enjoying the amenities of the lake and home! The home was warm and inviting. The bed was real comfortable, and the lake was beautiful!

FVR RESPONSE:
