Beach/Swimming:  There is not a traditional beach but rather a seawall.  You can definitely swim from property, there is a ladder attached to dock for entry to sandy bottom lake

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fire-pit: Yes, wood not provided but available locally .

Fishing
Houghton Lake is known for its excellent fishing! Here you will find walleye, pike, bass & bluegill.  Please be sure to bring your own poles as there are none at this property.

Fishing License:  A license is required in order to fish in Michigan.
 


Golf: Pineview Highlands Golf Course 11 minutes(6.9 miles)



Grill: Propane grill provided



Grocery Store: Walmart is 9 minutes away(4.4 miles)

Handicap Friendly
While there are minimal steps for entry, the home is not ADA complaint.

Home Automation: Our property contains a YourWelcome Guest Tablet which is a complimentary smart home device for use during your stay. The tablet can be used for checking in on arrival as well as accessing property specific guides, local area information and many other useful features to improve your stay. The tablet includes a camera on the front and rear however no features used on the tablet utilize or activate the camera or mic. The option to turn off the device is always possible should you feel it necessary, and the large power button is found along the top side of the tablet.


 


Heat: Electric heat- Thermostat in every room so everyone can be at their own comfort level!
 


Hunting: Not on Property



Internet/WiFi: Yes, with speeds capable of working from location!

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.


Parking: 4 vehicles

Pets: No pets allowed owner has severe allergies

Privacy: Neighbors next door on both sides

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
