If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I’ll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillow cases and bath towels.

Parking: Two cars are able to park right next to the cabin. It could also host a truck/trailer combo.

Pets: One dog under 15 lbs. is allowed onsite. Sorry bigger pet owners, there are 5 cabins and we don’t want to spook the pups! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $50/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on.  Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Cabin Paradise
The whole booking process was easy, quick and accurate. The location was perfect and exactly as described on the sight. We really enjoyed our stay even though it was cut short by a couple of days. The only thing I would change would be the shower head, it is much too big for the small shower. A hand-held would have been much easier. We had some visitors while we were there. Deer came every night to visit, turkeys and egrets wandered about too. A great get away.

Sandra, we are so happy that you enjoyed your time at  Stoney Point Cabin #2.  It is on Big Bay de Noc, sleeps 4, and is dog friendly.  We'll let the owners know your thought son the shower head.  We hope to see you back again.

Beautiful, Clean, Roomy and Comfortable!
Very welcoming, very clean and comfortable cabin with lots of room to spread out. Woodsy views make having your morning coffee a very calming experience. The cabin is clean and so are the surroundings. We enjoyed nature, the water of Big Bay De Noc, walking on the beach and riding bikes on the low traffic roads where an eagle flew approximately 50 feet in front of us! Visit the Nahma Inn for lunch, dinner - good food and good people. We were lucky enough to be there for music at the General Store on Friday night and had a blast. The musicians were excellent, singing popular songs that we sung along to. Don't hesitate to stay at Stoney Point! It's a great vacation spot and a wonderful place to visit. 5 stars! I will be back!

Perfect trip to
My family and I have been coming up to Michigan's UP for over 15 years and have to say that this location cannot be beat. If you are looking for solitude, beauty, and untouched nature, this is the place to be! The cabin location in Nahma is the perfect launching pad for day trips to the best of the UP - Tahquamenon Falls, Kitch-iti-kipi, Marquette, Pictured Rocks, Escanaba, Munising - or to just explore the little town of Nahma - bike rides and running down the county roads, music at the General Store, meals at Nahma Inn. Of course, days on the beach and in Lake Michigan right outside the cabin are also awesome. Would highly recommend this place to others!
