nice stay at Pining Away
The unit itself was quite nice; kitchen well stocked, clean, clearly some nice upgrades with furnishings and decor. The lake is beautiful and wonderful to have hammocks, kayak, canoe, firepit, wi-fi, smart tv, etc. I only gave this rental 4 stars because of location. It is quiet and remote; almost too remote for us. If you want to go anywhere it is a mile on a bumpy dirt road, followed by at least 20-30 minutes on paved country highway. This was a bit exhausting if you want to do this on a daily basis with a large group of people. But other than that, if you enjoy staying put, paddling about the lake, this is the place for you. The staff of Freshwater Rentals gets 5 stars however as they were about the fastest most responsive rental company I have ever dealt with, even for minor things such as "is there more dish detergent somewhere". We would definitely rent from this company again!!

Thank you Belinda for such a wonderful compliment to our team, and a great review of your stay! We completely understand the 4 star rating for the unpaved road and distance, as it can definitely add a bit of an additional challenge. We love that you all enjoyed your stay, and the amenities the house provides and hope we can host another stay with you in the future, at this or any of our other properties!

This was our first experience renting a vacation home for the whole our family and this home was just amazing! We were so happy with our choice. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped. The house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked!!! The kitchen was amazing and we enjoyed cooking together. Beautiful location in the middle of the forest and gorgeous lake view from the house. We really enjoyed swimming, fishing and kayaking there. The staff responded to our questions immediately, we were well taken care of. Would stay here again!

Anna, thank you for this lovely review.  We love that your first experience renting a vacation home was with us.  It sounds like you had  blast swimming, fishing and kayaking.  We look forward to your return!
