Only 35 minutes from the Mackinaw Bridge and 60-yards to Lake Huron, Pine River Lodge is a great place to spend a weekend or week for that matter. Looking at the Pine River from your back door, you are able to kayak (using the 2 provided) right into Lake Huron. Or, if you would like to bring your own water vessel, the public launch to Pine River is just a ½ mile away!

This gorgeous log home is a sophisticated cabin, yet the water does have the smell of eggs, as it is well water. The combination of timbers and brown leather, give Pine River Lodge a modern, yet comfortable atmosphere. Sleeping 6, this home has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and fully-equipped kitchen. Without TV or Internet, truly have a bonding family experience enjoying the fresh air. Have fun lighting a fire in the backyard pit or playing cornhole with the family. If you feel like going out for the night, the 2 Sioux-Tribe Casinos in Hessel and St. Ignace will do the trick.

ATV and Snowmobiles are welcome. Enjoy parking your truck/trailer combination and jumping onto your vehicle from the front door. Check out the Hessel I-75 Trails in the winter or summer!

We were the first guests in this brand new solidly built log house with character, deer head on the wall, wooden floors, hand-made rustic cupboards in a well-equipped kitchen, window looking at pine river. Nice to enjoy breakfast watching fishermen returning from the lake with their catch. A bit like an exclusive hunting/fishing cottage with a nice simple and functional not too decorative touch. Made a Finn feel like home up North, only sauna was missing :-). Plenty of room for the entire 5-person family, two double beds and one bunk bed. Two nice new kayaks that we could use (both on Pine river & Lake Huron). Peaceful environment. although neighbors (huts & RVs) are near. Served as an excellent base some, 15 miles north of the bridge, to spend a few days exploring Macinac Island & the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore & other parts of UP.
