Lake Michigan has never looked so beautiful!  The view of the boats along Big Bay de Noc capture the essence of what we long for on vacation.  Down By the Bay is found in the Garden Peninsula, at the central-southern edge of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

While there is a street between the front lawn and Lake Michigan, you'll find ample space between the neighbors. The wide, front porch allows you to relax with the view.   This home is filled with fun activities for the whole family, including your family pet. Your family and friends can bond over games, from a card (poker) table to foosball, corn hole and ping pong. You may never find a better home for a great game of hide & seek!

Inside this three (3) level home, it's a unique Upper Peninsula Lake house experience to be able to cool off during those couple summer months with central air conditioning. You'll find a bathroom on every level, and bedrooms on both the upper and lower levels. The kitchen, dining area and living room are reserved for the main floor.   The kitchen is idea for cooking meals where you end the day overlooking Lake Michigan from the dining room table.  The living room gives your family the space to further decompress and share the fun stories of the day.

A Quiet Place
We stayed at Down by the Bay in August with family--a total of 6 including two boys 10 and 13. There was plenty of room and activities like Ping Pong in the house. The view was amazing. We were a bit disappointed that getting in the lake at the property was difficult and we ended up going in to Manistique to the beach. That is about a 20-25 minute drive. There is also a great grocery store there. We did go to a restaurant in Garden which was good so there is an eating out option very close. All in all we enjoyed out stay.

We had a wonderful time here. It was a great meeting spot for family coming in from Oregon and the Detroit area (Livonia, Wixom, and Westland). We loved the house and the space for everyone was great. We spent most of our time either eating or playing in the garage. We were also very happy to have been able to bring our boat and were able to dock it right out front. We had many boat rides and swimming adventures that were fun for all. Thank you for allowing us to rent this wonderful place. Maybe someday we will be back. Thank you

Nice large house. Garage game room was very nice to hang out. Only change would be to have access to launch kayaks at property.

FVR RESPONSE:

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, Steve! We're happy to know you enjoyed your stay at the house, as well as getting a chance to enjoy the game room and provided amenities! It is unfortunate to hear about the issues with launching the kayaks, but we will look into what can be done to make that possible! Hopefully we will get a chance to host you again!

Breathtaking Beauty
This house is amazing! My family had an amazing time utilizing the game room almost 24-7! Plenty of room to spread out and get some quiet moments, even with 11 people and a dog. Our poodle had a great time playing hide & seek with the kids. Nice big tables for card games. Lots of seating. We had a couple ping pong and fooseball tournaments! The only drawback, an it is slight, is the hard water. Be sure to run LemiShine in every load of dishes, trust me. We would definitely stay here again!

FVR RESPONSE:

Thank you for sharing your experience Yuvanka! It's so great to know that your entire family (poodles included) were able to have such a great stay, and made such great use of the provided amenities, while getting a chance to build memories with one another! We truly hope we will get a chance to host you again in the future!
