On the southern edge of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, close to the Michigan-Wisconsin border, along The Menominee River, lies the 5th Season vacation home, a nature lover's gem with modern convenience. Surrounded by trees which hold your privacy dear, the tall ceilings and large windows overlooking the river are sure to capture your attention. The wrap-around deck outside the main floor bedrooms provides ample space to catch that needed breath of fresh air.
Within the over 3000 square feet of the 5th Season vacation home, there are two (2) separate living spaces (main and lower levels) which allow you to kick back or have fun, read, watch TV, or simply spend time together. The two (2) fireplaces (gas and electric) make this home unique, and also ease in capturing the laid-back ambiance the Upper Peninsula readily offers. Your mind will be sure to wander, as with each glance outside the window; it's easy to get swept away in the meandering Menominee River.
Never miss a beat in the open kitchen, as the chef of your group is still a part of the conversations and sharing of stories that the day has brought upon. Belly up to the island as you have a drink, enjoy a cup of coffee or find yourself in the role of sous chef as you assist in the meal prep. The living room seating is comfortable and ideal for your group. The fun explodes in the basement with the foosball and air hockey tables.
As the sun sets and the moon rises, choose one of four (4) bedrooms, from the king (with an en suite bathroom) to the two (2) queen bedrooms or the lower level room with three (3) twin beds (ideal for the teens in your group). With a master and one (1) queen bedroom on the main level, it adds to the ease of your older family members.

Tranquil Northwoods Home
Our time spent here exceeded our expectations. It was so wonderful to come in to the home and have it completely decorated for Christmas! The home was very spacious and comfortable, and the setting on the Menominee River made it magical. We saw two bald eagles by the river as well as wild turkeys and deer. It was everything we hoped for and more!
FVR RESPONSE:

What an amazing property!
We routinely make fall break trips to the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin. This property stands out as the most beautiful property yet! The view off the back deck is virtually 180 degrees of gorgeous slow moving river and woods. We saw river otters, deer and a fox. Everything was just out the window, off the deck and a stone’s throw away. If you enjoyed getting in touch with nature this is your place.
FVR RESPONSE:
Thank you for such a wonderful review of your stay at 5th Season, John! You truly paint such a beautiful picture of the experience this home provides! It's so great that you have a chance to see some of the otters, deer and fox while in the area, and were able to appreciate the wonderful view, right there at the border. Hopefully we will continue to have a chance to host you in the future!

Great experience
We enjoyed our stay It was clean, relaxing with beautiful backyard. Everything was working as expected. Internet was little patchy in the beginning but got better later during the stay. Kids enjoyed canoeing. One suggestion- email instructions about driving directions from Marinette is missing one step that needs to be corrected. Overall, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
FVR RESPONSE
Amit, thank you for your recommendation! It means a lot to us. Canoeing and summertime are perfect together, so we're glad that your kids enjoyed it. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you back again.

The place was amazing. Booked in mid August as a retreat from the fast pace and demanding every day routine. The house had plenty to do with activities, board games, and up to date commodities. Outside was clean and had plenty of furniture to sit down and relax with views towards different directions. My kids, 9,12, & 15 did not go bored and enjoyed the wild life outdoors as much as indoor night. We saw, chipmunks, storks, snakes, beavers, ducks, deer, several kinds of birds and other wildlife. Used the kayaks and fireplace. The house was very well protected to keep all the wildlife outside. Everything was clean and well stock with spices, dishes, utensils, utilities, pots and pans. Definitely will look into clear water rentals in the future. Thanks you!
FVR RESPONSE:
Ana, we're so glad that you found 5th Season to be "amazing!" One knows its a successful getaway when the kids are not bored. We, at Freshwater Vacation Rentals, would love to work with you again.

5 stars
My wife and I spent a long weekend here with my brother and cousin and their wives. We had a great time . The rooms were spacious and clean. The Wi-Fi works but is spotty but the location is beautiful and I suggest turning off your devices and enjoying yourself as we did. I would definitely recommend the 5th season it’s a 5 star vacation destination for sure
