Designed to comfortably sleep six guests, the charming two-bedroom home features gorgeous knotty pine interior and organic interior touches that blend seamlessly with modern comforts, offering guests a timeless, nostalgic Michigan retreat experience. Whether you are drinking coffee in the quaint screened in tree house overlooking the lake, adventuring on the kayaks, paddle boat and canoe, or sharing stories around a lakeside campfire, this hidden gem promises an unforgettable Michigan escape.

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.
Fireplace: There is a wood burning fireplace at the property. One bundle of wood will be available for guest use.
Fire-pit: There is a fire pit for guest use. One bundle of wood will be provided.
Fishing: Allowed off dock.
Fishing License: A license is required to fish in Michigan.
Fishing Poles: Please bring your own fishing poles.

Grill: There is a propane griddle style grill in the outdoor kitchen area and a charcoal grill for guest use.

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.
Parking: There is room for one car in the garage, and room for 10 cars in the extensive drive.
Pets: 1 pet is allowed at the property. Please be advised the lot is not fenced and the Upper Peninsula has plentiful wildlife, including bear. Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. If you allow your pets on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.
Privacy: Very private, wooded lot. Neighbors are slightly visible.
Space: Multi-level home in the Hiawatha National Forest.
