Swim, fish, paddle, and snowmobile right from the property, with Pictured Rocks, Munising, and year-round outdoor adventures just minutes away. Wake up to peaceful lake views, spend your days exploring the beauty of the U.P., and wind down around the fire with friends and family. At Lost Lake Lodge, the only thing on your to-do list is to relax, recharge, and make unforgettable memories.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Air Conditioning: This home does NOT have A/C. Ceiling fans are in the main bedrooms, and each bedroom also has an oscillating fan for your comfort.


ATV's: Please do not drive ATVs on the property. You may, however, depart from the property on them. Trail access is available within 2 miles.

Bathrooms:  Bathroom #1- shower, sink, toilet, and a tub

                      1/2 Bathroom- toilet and a sink


Bedroom Configurations:  Primary- King

                                             Secondary- Queen

                                             Third- Queen with twin bunks


Boats: There is a three person canoe, 2 single kayaks, and 1 paddle board available from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You can just launch from the shore! Life jackets are provided.

Boat Launch: No. 

Cable:  Not available, but the TVs are equipped with streaming services.

Cell Phone Service: Cell phone service is not reliable. It is recommended to use WIFI calling.

Coffee Maker: A 12 cup Kuerig combo with coffee and pods.


Distances:     Munising- 17 min (11 miles)

                       Manistique- 55 min (50 miles)

                       Marquette- 1 hour and 4 min (54 miles)

                       Mackinaw City- 2 hours and 10 min (128 miles)



Dock:  No traditional boat dock is available. 

Drinking Water: There is drinkable well water and a filtration system. 

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fireplace: *Currently not operational (Aug. 2025) 

Fire-Pit: Yes-please bring your own wood. 

Fishing: Northern Pike, sunfish, and Bass are common in this private lake. 

Fishing License: A license is required to fish in Michigan. You can purchase on Michigan's DNR website. 

Fishing Poles: None provided.

Golf:         Munising Golf Course- 17 min (11 miles)

                 Pictured Rocks Golf Course- 17 min (12 miles)
           
                 Miners Falls Mini golf- 13 min (8.2 miles)



Grill: There is a propane grill.

Grocery Store: Pat's Foods- 16 min (11 miles)

Handicap Friendly: No

Heat: Propane, forced air. 

Internet/Wi-Fi: Fiber Optic 500 Mbps.

Linens: All linens are provided.

Parking: There is space for 4 cars or 2 cars with trailers.

Pets: 
* This home does NOT a fenced yard. 
* Dog(s) MUST be leashed when outside of the space in front of and/or behind the cabin.
* 2 dogs MAX. 
* Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay.
* Please clean up after your dog, both inside and outside the cabin.
* If you allow your dogs on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on.  Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. * * If the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum.
* Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore, yet they need to remain within the footprint of the cottage and NOT roam the neighborhood.
* Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.


Privacy: Neighbors are next door.

Snowmobiles: A person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground. 

Seniors: They are welcome!

Beautiful lake view, quiet and feels remote, but very short drive to most things. Great restaurant in the Buckhorn (12-15min) less by snowmobile, and downtown Munising (15-20min) Thanks for a memorable visit!

This place is fantastic for a quiet getaway. They have thought of everything - well stocked kitchen, games galore, kayaks, and comfortable furniture. It was literally the perfect vacation. About a 15 minute drive to Munising. Hiking at nearby Pictured Rocks was amazing!
