A message from the owners:
As a child, I spent my summers enjoying the relaxed lifestyle the small community of Eagle Harbor offered. As an adult, I brought my family up to enjoy the community as often as I could. I am so excited to be able to share a piece of that with others.
Our 3 cottages were part of the original Lake Breeze Resort in Eagle Harbor. Built in the 1920’s, this resort had 15 cottages that sat on “The Hill” overlooking the harbor. As time went on, some of the cottages were sold, and we now find ourselves lucky enough to own four.

Eagle harbor the small seaside village on Lake Superior
We stayed in Eagle harbor in the pines cottage for 3 nights. We had always wanted to visit copper harbor, and decided the rental in eagle harbor looked more comfortable than the hotels we looked at in copper harbor. Wow what a hidden gem Eagle Harbor is like a beautiful little seaside village. It’s gorgeous with the friendliest community. We spent more time relaxing in this quaint town and only spent minimal time in copper harbor. The cottage itself is small but very clean and had all the basic amenities. But the location of the cottage is key! Walking distance to everything and right next to the lighthouse. Met the owners they stay nearby and are very warm and friendly. Loved our stay!
FVR RESPONSE:
What a wonderful review, Jennifer! We are so happy that you made the switch to Eagle Harbor, and love knowing that you found the location to be ideal for amenities, but also the general feel of the community! It's also so cool that you were able to meet the owners as well! Hopefully we will get a chance to host you again in the future!

Nice stay
Nice little cabin. We enjoyed our stay. Parking was a little tight. We had a bigger truck and little bit of issues getting in and out when it car was parked in the cabin in front of us. But other than that it was very peaceful and quiet. Thank you

Neat and clean but hot!
This is a very small unit without table and chairs. Sink, toilet & small shower were adequate. I do not want to be too negative because the customer service folks are charmers. If we are able to return to the Keweenaw again next year, our plans are to book again via Freshwater Vacation Rentals. This small cabin is pleasant, clean and located in a beautiful area. If small is good for you, relax & enjoy. We had a ball... take peanuts for the friendly chipmunks!
FVR RESPONSE:
Thank you for sharing your review John! The cottage is definitely for those comfortable with a small and convenient set up, so we are glad to know it was able to work well for your stay (also appreciate the compliment to our team)! Hopefully we will have a chance to host you again in the future!

Perfect little cabin!
We loved our stay in this perfect little cabin. The location was perfect for day trips throughout the Keweenaw to explore and see fall colors. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We had no idea the lighthouse was practically in the yard! How cool is that? We really enjoyed our stay and hope to make a return visit soon!

Small but Nice
The cabin is small, but it was very functional for our needs. It did have a small fridge and microwave and it was nice to have a shower. The wi-fi worked fine while we were there and the area is beautiful. If it had been warm and sunny, we probably would have been in the water at the beach around the corner. The only negative would be the bed. It is considered a king, but it was actually two full beds pushed together with a foam strip down the center to connect them. The sheets could use an upgrade as well. We would still recommend the cabin, however. A good home base for exploring the area.
FVR RESPONSE
Kerry, we love knowing that you enjoyed staying at Harbor Pines, and thank you for the recommendation. We will let the owners know your suggestions about the sheets. We enjoyed having you as our guest and hope to see you again soon.

Cabin 8
We had a fantastic time staying at your cabin in Eagle harbor. It was exactly what we had hoped for. It was the perfect place to land after a busy day out enjoying the beauty of Northern Michigan, and for just hanging around on a lazy Sunday afternoon. We will cherish the memories of our stay. Thank you again! Harvey and Lisa

Comfy and Quiet
We enjoyed the property and amenities. Everything was well stocked with exception of the charcoal as advertised.. The bed was a little soft (well used). Also parking was tight. There really was a lot packed in this little cottage and located within walking distance to the beach, church, the museum, and even the restaurant where we purchased ice.

Peggy, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Eagle Harbor- Harbor Pines. This is a small but mighty vacation spot. The beautiful sandy beach is perfect for swimming, and even has an old-fashioned slide, plus each cottage has beach chairs and beach bags for the guests to use. We apologize for the misunderstanding about the charcoal for the grill. Guests do need to supply their own charcoal. We hope to see you back again.
