Wonderful stay for our long holiday weekend. When we first got there our code did not work, I immediately contacted Freshwater and they responded quickly. They got us in the door within minutes which was great because we had 2 littles (2 and 4 year old) who were getting desperate after being in the car for long. The place was clean - and it smelled clean! The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The fridge had basic condiments (mayo, ketchup, butter) which was more than we expected to see. It could be possible that other guests have left these things behind or that the host had them there, either way, it was great to see. The heated toilet seat in the main floor bathroom was AWESOME!!! I need to get one for my house! And most importantly, the views. I can't say enough about the views. It was gorgeous!! The night sky was filled with stars - I haven't seen that many stars in a very long time. The fishing was great and a lot of fun. All in all a wonderful stay. Thank you!!

Beautiful Lake House
This home was seriously amazing! From the minute we walked in the back door, to touring the home for the first time we were thrilled that the photos didn't do the in person experience justice; super clean and great layout. The beds were ultra comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and had plenty of towels, shampoo, etc. The kitchen was well stocked. (The fridge was a bit smaller than we needed, but we made it work...we just brought a LOT of food!) Outside the deck with picnic table was perfect for meals. The lake is beautiful, but there is a break wall, not a beach with a walk out to the lake. It was fine because we just got in from the dock, but we didn't realize it. The lake also has a lot of seaweed, but the bottom was sandy and not mucky. We sat right in our floats and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The management company was exception with anything I had questions about or we needed so I appreciated that. Overall it was a GREAT trip and we were able to relax! I would 100% book again.

Our family stayed at the lake house for 3 nights. The house was clean to our satisfaction. It was as described in the listing and had a nicely equiped kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals. Our favorite part was the lake and the views from the house. We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on site. We also had a nice fire on our final night. You are within about 20 to 30 mins of several beach towns on Lake Huron like Oscoda, Harrisville and Tawas. We did a couple hikes at Lumbermans Monument and Iargo Springs which are about a 15 minutes drive.

Beautiful home
The home was beautiful and spacious. It did not feel crammed and many vacation homes do. It was clean and we all felt very comfortable in the home. I have never stayed in a private rental that was stocked as if it were a personal home. As a parent of 5 kids, this was extremely accommodating for your cooking needs. Any item I needed was available. We loved that our pets could come as well and this home was 4 min from a grocery store!

Cute lake house on the very peaceful Vaughn Lake! I’ve been coming to Glennie for 27 years to my family’s cabin on the other side of the lake and Glennie is the cutest little “up north” town!! This lake house was super cozy and clean, minus a few stray dog hairs but that did not bother us as we are not allergic to dogs. Comfy beds and well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay. I should mention the steps to the basement are very very steep so bring a baby gate if you have really little ones. Mine are 5yr and 3yr and didn’t go near the basement. There was no code to the front door provided to us before check in but when we arrived I called and got the code right away. Great customer service by Freshwater. Hope we get a chance to stay here again!!
