This listing is a great home base for those who want privacy, but also want to be close to the conveniences of town. Don't forget to make the short walk to Cecil Bay Trading Post to grab delicious warm doughnuts and ice cream! If you need to grab last minute supplies, like fishing and camping gear, or want to rent bikes or kayaks, this is the place. Bring your family or friends to explore the surrounding areas and enjoy all the fun Michigan has to offer.

Animals:  You might catch a glimpse of a black bear, wolves, deer, elk, coyote, fox, bobcats, porcupine,  skunks, raccoons, eagles, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice as well as a massive variety of birds.

Boats   No boats with the property but you can rent kayaks nearby at Cecil Bay Trading Post 0.7 miles away. 

Boat Launch:  Wilderness State Park is 5.2 miles/10 min drive away and has a boat launch. 

Bugs  : There are midges, spiders, mosquitos, occasionally black flies.  We spray to keep them at a manageable level but don't want to damage the fragile ecosystem. 

Cable:  1 Smart TV in Main Area

Cell Phone Service: Most major providers work well at the property. 

Coffee Maker:  Both a Keurig and a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker are available for guest use.  Filters and coffee provided.

Dock:  There is not a boat dock on the property.  

Drinking Water:  Well water-Artisian spring water is available for guests. 

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fireplace:  No fireplace at this location

Fire-pit:  There is a firepit on the property.

Fishing:  Salmon, trout, perch, and bass populate the water.  

Fishing License:  A license is required to fish in Michigan.

Fishing Poles:  Please bring your own fishing poles.

Grill: There is a propane grill for guest use. 

Grocery Store:  Mackinaw Family Market - 13 minutes (7.3 miles)

Handicap Friendly: This is not a handicap friendly property.

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.

Parking:  2 to 3 cars are permitted to park in the gravel area only. 

Pets: 1 dog under 20Lbs is allowed at this property. Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on.  Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Privacy:  This is a semi-secluded property and there are neighboring homes in view. 

Space:  This is an RV property.
  
Special Features:   A fantastic gazebo with a screened in deck is provided for guests to enjoy right on the Lake Michigan beach!

Seniors:  Seniors are welcome. 

Televisions:  There is a 32" Smart TV

Towels: All bath and kitchen towels will be provided during your stay. Please bring beach towels with you!
