DREAM CATCHER LOG CABIN (Newaygo, MI): Central Air! Sleeps 10, 60 acres, WIFI, Satellite TV

*RIVERFRONT (Little Muskegon River)- NOT water view

Wildlife, woods, and timbers describes the unique Dream Catcher Log Cabin. Located near the Little Muskegon River (3/4 mile walk/drive to the river through the private, wooded area), Dream Catcher Log Cabin provides a gorgeous backdrop for creating memories with your family. Nature lovers will enjoy exploring the private 60 acres of Huron-Manistee Forest by day, and relaxing by the nicely landscaped fire pit area at night.  There is also a fun kid's playhouse, which was built to match the main log cabin. The Dream Catcher Log Cabin is not for those who dislike taxidermy, as there are a few statues of deer, turkey, and fox in the living room.

Topping out at 2200 sq. ft., this custom-built log cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and sleeps 10-12 people (10 in beds, and 2 more on the full-sized sofa). Dream Catcher Log Cabin also comes with a basic kitchen, including a dishwasher, and some other comforts of home including Wi-Fi, 3 TVs, and Air Conditioning. Since it is a log cabin, the floors tend to creak when walking, especially around the bedrooms. This pet-free, air-conditioned environment is crisp and clean, and the high vaulted ceilings, large windows, gas fireplace (with a blower), and jetted tub in the master bedroom, offer a welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy.

Keep in mind that although it may appear the cabin is secluded, there are neighbors within 200 feet.  Noise travels within the stillness of nature, so we ask our guests to adhere to the Good Neighbor Policy with a 10pm-9am quiet time for outside activities. Please watch for the Freshwater and Dream Catcher signs to alert you to the property lines for the 60 acres.

Relaxing family getaway
The cabin is beautiful and location is very relaxing. Secluded enough to allow peace and quiet but less than 10 minutes from stores, food and water activity. Kids loved it.

Thank you for choosing our home, Joe! We're happy to hear that you found the cabin beautiful and the location relaxing. It's great that you appreciated the balance of seclusion for peace and quiet, yet convenience with stores, food, and water activities just a short drive away. We're delighted that the kids loved it too! We hope to welcome you back for another relaxing getaway soon. Safe travels until then!

Cabin was so cool! Will definitely make reservations to come again in Spring. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. The river was running fast but we still got to do some excellent fishing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Log Home.

Hi Bill! Thank you for sharing your review! It's wonderful to know you enjoyed your stay at Dream Catcher, had good luck with the fishing, found the home to be well stocked, and that you plan to return! We can't wait to host you again!

Cabin was beautiful and everything they said it was and then some. Would of definitely liked a TV in by the fire place but will be definitely scheduling another stay

Great Weekend Getaway
All around great weekend getaway the only negative is that listing makes it seem like your closer to the water than you really are, the river was impossible to get to from the cabin.

Antonio, we're glad that you had a great weekend.  We do note that the river is a 3/4 mile walk/drive to the river through the private, wooded area.  We'd love to work with you again.

Absolutely lovely place!!!
This place is so nice, peaceful and beautiful! It was so clean and had everything we needed. The kidz kabin was a major plus too. The only thing I would change is the markers on the trees were brighter and a dream catcher were the road/trail meet. Can't wait to go back here!!!

Thank you so much for your feedback as well as your wonderful ideas for improvement! We will certainly take your ideas into consideration. We look forward to your return in the future! -Freshwater Vacation Rentals Team

Great Experience!
My wife and I went to the Dream Catcher Log Cabin for a nice break from the Covid doldrums, and an opportunity to "embrace winter" as we call it, since we canceled our Florida plans this season. What we found was a wonderful, clean, and majestic log mansion! Hiking the property was a bonus, and we were so surprised to find the Tipi at the river's edge! What a well done property overall, and very clean.

Robert, thank you for this marvelous review!  we love that your embrace of winter was so successful.  We'd love to work with you again in the future.

Latoya, it was great having you back as our guest.  There is no greater review than when guests come back, so thank you for that.  Hopefully we'll see you again soon.

Beautiful Cabin
The cabin was very spacious and beautiful. We really liked seeing all the taxidermy animals. The beds and pillows were comfy, place was clean. The few things we didn't like was almost the whole floor creaked when you step on it, anywhere in the place. There was no tv in the main area to gather and watch a movie at night (that was in the description of the place, it just would have been nice) The Kids Cabin outside had a bees/wasp nest in it, and the trail behind the cabin was full of biting ants. Those were mostly minor things, as we really enjoyed our weekend there.

Elizabeth, we are happy to know that overall Dream Catcher Log Cabin worked out well for your family.  Thanks for letting us know about the bees nest - we'll take care of that immediately.  Next time you work with us, if issues like that arise, please call us and we will get someone out to remedy the situation.  We enjoyed working with you and look forward to our next encounter.

Very amazing details and comfortable Had everything we needed for our stay. The grill needed cleaning we weren't able to cook outside because of how dirty it was was disappointed on that part,But the rest was very nice and excellent work on making it comfortable for those staying in the Dream Catcher Login Cabin!

Enid, first, let me apologize for the grill.  That should have been cleaned before you got there.  We are glad that overall your stay at Dream Catcher Log Cabin was satisfying.  it is a great property with a  large porch running across the entire front of the cottage.  It sleeps 10 and is situated on 60 acres of land.  We hope to see you again!

Front door key lockbox not very user friendly. Took a few tries but once inside beautiful log cabin. Everything was there, and very nice that all light switches and everything was labeled. Very nice cabin. We would rent it again.

Terri, we are sorry about the lockbox, and we'll get that taken care of.  We are happy that you enjoyed staying at Dream Catcher Log Cabin.  We especially like that you will be returning!  The log cabin sleeps 10 and is open year round.  There is a children's play house for the little ones to enjoy, and there is an abundance of wildlife to observe.  This is a roomy, comfortable place to go to escape.

The Best Experience Ever
Where do I even begin? This place is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever rented!! Private, secluded, spacious, spotless, interesting and magical. The pictures don't do this place any justice! If you are thinking about it, think no more...just book it! You won't regret it. I stayed three nights by myself and had the best time ever. This place is large so a large group of people can stay here and still have room to spread out. Large bathrooms with heated floors, the fireplace is perfect! It's almost like staying in a museum. Every kind of taxidermy is displayed so it gives you an up close and personal view. The property is massive so lots of space to wonder around and take great pictures. I love it here and didn't want to leave...you won't either. Everything you need is right here. I'll be back very soon!!

Wow, Latoya, you have said it all!  Thanks for taking the time to write this fabulous review.  There is nothing better than when a guest says they did not want to leave, and that they want to return, so thank you for that.  We look forward to working with you again.

Peaceful wooded log cabin retreat
The cabin is just beautiful with all the details and special touches, as well as cozy and comfortable. Loved the sitting area and fireplace and in the main room!
