Dream Catcher Log Cabin Newaygo

DREAM CATCHER LOG CABIN (Newaygo, MI): Central Air! Sleeps 10, 60 acres, WIFI, Satellite TV

*RIVERFRONT (Little Muskegon River)- NOT water view

Wildlife, woods, and timbers, describes the unique Dream Catcher Log Cabin. Located near the Little Muskegon River (3/4 mile of a walk/drive to the river through the private, wooded area), Dream Catcher Log Cabin provides a gorgeous backdrop for creating memories with your family.  With 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, this custom-built log cabin sleeps 10-12 people (10 in beds, and 2 more on full-sized sofa). You will enjoy the private 60 acres of Huron-Manistee Forest, Wi-Fi, 3 TVs , a jetted tub in the master bedroom and a fun kids playhouse which was built to match the main log cabin. The Dream Catcher Log Cabin is not for those who dislike taxidermy, as there are a few statues of deer, turkey, and fox in the living room.

Topping out at 2200 sq. ft. Dream Catcher Log Cabin comes equipped with kitchen, including a dishwasher, high vaulted ceilings, large windows, a gas fireplace (with a blower) and a landscaped fire pit area. Relax in the jetted bathtub on the main floor or take a walk through the 60 acres.

This pet-free, air-conditioned environment is crisp, clean, and welcoming.

Keep in mind that although it may appear the cabin is secluded,  there are neighbors within 200 feet.  Noise travels within the stillness of nature.  We need our guests to adhere to the Good Neighbor Policy with a 10pm-9am quiet time for outside activities. Cleaning Fees Explained:

a. Cleaning fees booked directly through Freshwater Vacation Rentals are NOT taxable.  (This is a way to save you $$.)

b, Even though our room rate is generally less per night during the Spring, Fall and Winter, no one wants the cleaning quality to decrease.

c. We expect our cleaners to clean at the same level they would for the Peak Summer season, year-round.

d. We pay our cleaners a living wage. They deep clean, wash all the linens and prep each bed, regardless of how many people are on the reservation.

a. When a couple is staying at a large house, and using only 25% of it, do they really want the home cleaned only 25%? Of course not.

b. When considering how many beds will be used, there are many variables-- Who are couples? Just friends? Family? Do all couples sleep in the same bed? Who snores?

c. Yes, sometimes the cleaner will make more money on your stay than the property owner or management company.  It is essential to keep the space fresh and consistently cleaned throughout the year.

Please note:

If you are truly just staying in as a couple at the Dream Catcher Log Cabin, and will not need to venture upstairs, we can do so at a reduced cleaning fee upon request.

If we can, we will. It's the Freshwater Vacation Rentals positive guest experience mantra.

Great Outdoors
The Dream Catcher was crystal clean when we arrived. But most importantly it’s the perfect getaway cabin in the woods with access to the little Muskegon River.

Michael, knowing that this was a perfect getaway for you makes our day.  It was a pleasure working with you, we hope to work with you again.

Beautiful Cabin
The cabin was very spacious and beautiful. We really liked seeing all the taxidermy animals. The beds and pillows were comfy, place was clean. The few things we didn't like was almost the whole floor creaked when you step on it, anywhere in the place. There was no tv in the main area to gather and watch a movie at night (that was in the description of the place, it just would have been nice) The Kids Cabin outside had a bees/wasp nest in it, and the trail behind the cabin was full of biting ants. Those were mostly minor things, as we really enjoyed our weekend there.

Elizabeth, we are happy to know that overall Dream Catcher Log Cabin worked out well for your family.  Thanks for letting us know about the bees nest - we'll take care of that immediately.  Next time you work with us, if issues like that arise, please call us and we will get someone out to remedy the situation.  We enjoyed working with you and look forward to our next encounter.

The grill needed cleaning we weren't able to cook outside because of how dirty it was was disappointed on that part,But the rest was very nice and excellent work on making it comfortable for those staying in the Dream Catcher Login Cabin!

The Best Experience Ever
Where do I even begin? This place is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever rented!! Private, secluded, spacious, spotless, interesting and magical. The pictures don't do this place any justice! If you are thinking about it, think no more...just book it! You won't regret it. I stayed three nights by myself and had the best time ever. This place is large so a large group of people can stay here and still have room to spread out. Large bathrooms with heated floors, the fireplace is perfect! It's almost like staying in a museum. Every kind of taxidermy is displayed so it gives you an up close and personal view. The property is massive so lots of space to wonder around and take great pictures. I love it here and didn't want to leave...you won't either. Everything you need is right here. I'll be back very soon!!

Wow, Latoya, you have said it all!  Thanks for taking the time to write this fabulous review.  There is nothing better than when a guest says they did not want to leave, and that they want to return, so thank you for that.  We look forward to working with you again.

Peaceful wooded log cabin retreat
The cabin is just beautiful with all the details and special touches, as well as cozy and comfortable. Loved the sitting area and fireplace and in the main room! Our favorite part of our stay was walking in the woods on the property down by the river...unspoiled nature highlighted by the fall colors.

This place is an oasis. Acres and acres of wooded bliss. We came here for a 60th birthday calm relaxation getaway, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful trails, up to date amenities, gorgeous decor. Helpful hosts! If you're looking to getaway- really getaway- from the hustle and bustle (but still have modern amenities at hand, of course- internet was fast and reliable, and kitchen was equipped to help serve a family if you so choose), this is the place.
