My group and I were suppose to go up for snowmobiling but do to no snow we didn't bring the sleds. We had a great time just hanging out here though. I will say if you do plan on bringing sleds the driveway is pretty tight for a trailer. The house was very easy to get in, very clean, and everything was stocked nice. The kitchen had everything you would need. We had enough towels and toilet paper! Very well stocked. We enjoyed playing the games they provided on the big kitchen table so everyone could play!

I recently stayed at Curtis Cabin, a beautiful log home in Curtis, Michigan, on South Manistique Lake. This spacious retreat comfortably accommodated my family of seven with its four cozy bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cabin uses private well water, which may have a metallic and earthy smell. The well-equipped kitchen and large dining area made family meals a delight. The highlight was the private lake access with a dock and four single-person kayaks. We enjoyed kayaking on the calm lake and the beautiful sunsets. Curtis Cabin is ideally located for exploring the Upper Peninsula's attractions. We made memorable day trips to Oswald's Bear Ranch, Benny the Giant Troll, Tahquamenon Falls, Kitch-iti-kipi, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, all within an hour's drive. The ample parking for our two vehicles was convenient. Whether you're looking to relax by the lake, explore nature, or enjoy outdoor activities, Curtis Cabin offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and adventure.

This cabin was comfortable for a group of 10 and had a cozy atmosphere. The table was large enough to all eat together. There is a large 4 season porch (in addition to the living/dining area) with another table and more furniture, so we could spread out and have multiple groups of games and activities going at once. Having one shower was slightly tricky, but we worked it out with some planning. Thanks for a great stay, would definitely recommend!

Great place. Very well stocked with amenities. And very clean. No dishwasher though. Host was very responsive. And even followed up with a very minor issue we had. Will definetly be back. Perfect spot for a family or friends getaway.

The place was great and accommodated a large group of fishermen with ease! Caught a lot of different species and was easily located close to town for bait and other amenities. Dock doesn’t quite make it to the dropoff so docking was a bit challenging (had to walk boats in to avoid prop scarring) but comes with the territory. Overall, would recommend this to anyone looking for an awesome weekend!

Excellent hosts and very-well-stocked! The cabin was clean and quite beautiful. It is situated on a fairly wooded lot with a path to the dock and fire pit. We liked the privacy. We especially appreciated having little things like aluminum foil, paper towels and shampoo/conditioner in abundance. These little things are often overlooked (and many hosts feel it’s not their responsibility to provide more than a single roll of toilet paper.) This management company (“Freshwater”) does an EXCELLENT job of readying the place and when we needed them, their communication back was nearly instantaneous. The area is what it is, you don’t go to Curtis for the restaurants…you go for the natural beauty, which is a drive away no matter where you stay. :)

Beautiful location!
The house was plenty big for the 6 of us. The location on the lake made it fun for kayaking. We were central to visiting many tourist destinations. The lighting in the house made it challenging for playing games. The water for the shower was extremely hot!!! Very clean.

The people who were co-ordinating with us were very good in communicating. They understood our concern and accomodated us. Though this stay would definitely need few accessories like dishwasher, ironbox as future upgrade which would make the stay more comfortable but if the stay is chosen you wont regret it. Please make sure to bring in bug spray as must while visiting Michigan Had a wonderful experience in an ambience similar to tree house(the infrastructure)

Nice, Clean, and very accommodating
Nice clean cabin, lots of pluses with only a couple issues. Parking is tough for a larger group like we had. I would definitely rent this place again. Worked great for 8 guys fishing.
