What Is the Northern Michigan Dragway?

If you’re a racing fan who loves to experience pulse-pounding excitement, then you need to check out Northern Michigan Dragway. This eighth-mile track is home to six months of events and celebrations that the entire family can enjoy together during a trip to the Wolverine State. Contestants travel from around the Midwest to test their racing skills. A points system doles out cash prizes to drivers with the highest totals. Whether you choose to visit for a regular event or a special weekend program, you will have a great time taking in the sights and sounds of race day! 

Events and Weekend Celebrations

The Northern Michigan Dragway offers an extensive schedule of events throughout the season. The opening day typically takes place in the middle of April, with three or four events running every month until the season points finale at the end of September. These weekend events range from regular drag racing time trials to multi-day bracket challenges. Listed below is the pricing for spectator admission.

Where Is it?

The Northern Michigan Dragway is three miles north of the small town of Kaleva. We have a few properties that are within an hour’s drive, but Traverse City is the closest city that has a laundry list of exciting things to do and places to see.
