We had a great time staying at this beautiful home and location. The lake is gorgeous and the large windows provide an excellent view of the water. The pictures on the website advertising the house are accurate. There are two paddle boards and a paddle boat available for use on the property and there are plenty of lawn chairs for sitting outside. There were plenty of bath towels available along with paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Temperature wise we were comfortable until our last day. The house doesn’t have air conditioning and when there wasn’t a breeze coming off the lake, it became very warm in the house. The other days we were comfortable using the ceiling fans but they didn’t help on the last day and night. Our stay was in mid-June so I wonder how warm the house would be during July and August. I would say that this lake is more for boating and fishing rather than swimming. It’s a great set up for anyone who brings their boat as there is a boat launch two doors down from this property and you can tie your boat to the dock right at the house during our stay. If you’re a swimmer, the water doesn’t have a clear, full sand bottom to walk into the lake. It would be nice if that could be cleared for those who use the kayak, paddle boat or prefer to swim rather than boat. Two of the three showers are very small; a large person would have difficulty or be unable to use them. The little town is not too far away and offer several restaurants offering good food. Overall the house and setting were very nice and comfortable. The pros far outweigh the cons and we had a relaxing stay. I would say at this house again.

FVR RESPONSE:

Thank you for sharing a review of your stay Mary Sue! I'm sorry to hear about the uncomfortable temperatures you experienced on the last night of your stay, as well as any lack of clarity regarding the lake itself. We will certainly continue to do what we can to make improvements in these areas for future stays. All and all we are truly delighted to know that you enjoyed your stay, and the time in the area. We would love to have you back!

Nice Place
Great house. Fit our family of 5 adults and 2 children perfectly. Our grandsons had a ball fishing off the dock and playing in the water. Was hoping for more space by the water to sit but there was only the dock. Otherwise all our needs were met. Thank you!

FVR RESPONSE
