West Hagerman Lake House is a spacious 3200 sq. ft. home that sits just forty-five feet from crystal clear Hagerman Lake. Rebuilt in 2011, this home is perfect for a large family, group of couples, or a few siblings looking for a larger place to stay with their families. Not ideal for large groups as the neighbors are in close proximity along this beautiful lake and we ask that you please adhere to a 10:00 pm quiet time. The neighbors are very sensitive to loud noise. West Hagerman is gorgeous, roomy, and is open all year-round. Having modern amenities at your fingertips is just the tip of the iceberg. Lake views, wild-life, and water access make West Hagerman Lake House an ideal holiday retreat.
Hagerman Lake is one of three "Class A" lakes in the area due to its clear water and sand/stone bottom, Hagerman's 585 acres boast active loon nests, peace and quiet, and ample room for boating of any type. Nature seekers will enjoy the many trails the national forest provides with views overlooking bluffs and lakes!
Inside, the main floor has an open-concept design providing seamless access to the kitchen and dining area, which seats 12 overlooking the lake. This space is charming for entertaining or watching little ones while you prepare dinner. A television and wood-burning fireplace creates a warm and inviting ambiance. The commons room upstairs and spacious bedrooms offer plenty of space for gathering, puzzles, playing board games, and enjoying the beautiful lake view. Charming decorations and original photography make this lake house feel like home. And just when you think it can't get any better, be sure to step outside after dark; the stars at night are simply magnificent.

Cleaning Fees Explained:
a. Cleaning fees booked directly through Freshwater Vacation Rentals are NOT taxable. (This is a way to save you $$.)
b, Even though our room rate is generally less per night during the Spring, Fall and Winter, no one wants the cleaning quality to decrease.
c. We expect our cleaners to clean at the same level they would for the Peak Summer season, year-round.
d. We pay our cleaners a living wage. They deep clean, wash all the linens and prep each bed, regardless of how many people are on the reservation.
Perspective:
a. When a couple is staying at a large house, and using only 25% of it, do they really want the home cleaned only 25%? Of course not.
b. When considering how many beds will be used, there are many variables-- Who are couples? Just friends? Family? Do all couples sleep in the same bed? Who snores?
c. Yes, sometimes the cleaner will make more money on your stay than the property owner or management company. It is essential to keep the space fresh and consistently cleaned throughout the year.
Please note:
If you are truly just staying in as a couple at the West Hagerman Lake House, and will not need to venture upstairs, we can do so at a reduced cleaning fee upon request.
If we can, we will. It's the Freshwater Vacation Rentals positive guest experience mantra.

FVR response:
Jamey, ah yes, Mother Nature can be a major trickster at times, and she certainly did it while you were at West Hagerman Lake House! Thank you for your patience and good nature through it all. We also appreciate the kudos to our staff, as we make every attempt to make certain that our guests are comfortable. We look forward to your next visit!
Additional Information:
WE Energies electric utility supplies power to this property from both north and south, and over twenty years of owning up there, the power has never been out for more than 2-3 hours, even in the worst storms. The unusual events of late Nov 2019 combined to take out trees and power lines that kept over 1000 customers in the UP without power for over 20 hours. It is highly unlikely such events will occur again, and we have every confidence that your stay at West Hagerman Lake House will be wonderful in any season! Thankfully, the property is set up that people can be comfortable in all seasons.
