Reviews

We had a great stay. The cabin was very rustic and cute, and it was awesome to be able to walk down to the river so close-by. We brought our dog with us as well which was lovely to be able to bring him! The location was about 20-40 min from sleeping bear dunes and 30min from Traverse city which was convenient considering those were the two areas we planned to visit while in town. Would recommend.

FVR RESPONSE:

Thank you, Elizabeth! We’re so happy you enjoyed the cozy charm of the cabin and the easy access to the river. It’s wonderful that your pup could join in on the adventure too. We'd love to welcome you back anytime! – Marj, FVR.

Platte Haven was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals including a brand new gas grill. We enjoyed the proximity to Lake Michigan, hiking trails and the St. Ambrose meadery/winery! Our dog had the best time running around the property down to the river. If you’re coming in the winter be prepared for the private road not to be plowed.

FVR RESPONSE:

Thanks for the winter tip—we truly appreciate you sharing your experience and would love to host you again! Safe travels! – Marj, FVR.
