Pets: Dogs are welcome! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $50/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on.  Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

It was beautiful!! Every amenity you will need for a Awsome stay!! The bonus was the sauna!! The wife loved to shower there! We had no idea the house had one. My only complaint would be is we brought our boat but had no idea how to get to the launch ramp, (maybe have a map to guide you thru the forest to get there) as it turned out we were able to enjoy Lake Superior because the weather conditions were perfect!! So it wasn’t a big deal!! We would definitely recommend the house to friends and family!!!

Tom, thank you for the recommendation!  That means a lot.  We're glad that you enjoyed the sauna.  We apologize that you did not have directions to the boat landing.  Know that if you work with us in the future, if issues like this arise, just call us and we will get you the information that you need.  We hope that you do come back again.

The best weekend
We had the best weekend exploring the UP, our only regret is not thinking we’d need longer because we would’ve LOVED to spend more time just taking it slow at the cottage. It was fully equipped, our boys had the best time fishing off the dock and caught about 15 fish! (They are 5 & 8). The cottage is spacious and very clean! I’ve already shared the link with so many friends who now hope to book a trip!

It's so great to hear that you and your family enjoyed the home. How cool that your boys were able to take advantage of the great fishing opportunity off the dock! Sounds like you have a couple skilled fishermen on your hands! We would love to have you and your family back in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lakeview Serenity. Our dog, Dixie, also had a great time running up and down the hills. What an absolutely beautiful setting. Between the lake and the trees, it was a peaceful paradise. So quiet and serene. My husband kayaked and fished (caught a nice mess of blue gills) and we hit the trails on our ATVs's and had a great time. We definitely want to come back when it is warmer to take more advantage of the lake fun. It was kind of chilly for me to kayak but I hope to take advantage of this in a future adventure to your little piece of paradise in the woods.

Rhonda, thank you for this great review.  It sounds like you had a great time.  It was our pleasure to host you, and we look forward to your return.

Beautiful and peaceful place
clean and peaceful. The kayaks were great! All in all beautiful area! I would go again.

Martha, the best review a guest can give is when they say they will be returning, so thank you for that!  We enjoyed having you at
Lakeview Serenity and look forward to your return!

Lakeview serenity
This 2 bedroom lake house was perfect for my husband and me with our two boys. We very much enjoyed being out of town and on the lake, it brought me back to being a kid at my family's lake house. It came equipped with the essentials and was clean and the beds comfortable. The sauna was nice and hot and we all had a great time fishing from the dock. The family game selection was great, and our boys enjoyed them so much that we promised to buy a few of the same for our own house. We'd recommend lakeview serenity to any family looking to spend some quality time together. We'll be using freshwater vacation rentals in the future!

Kali, thank you for this great review.  We love offering  the perfect property for families to make memories, and Lakeview Serenity is one of those.  It's located on Dana Lake, sleeps 4-5 and is dog friendly.  There is a private dock plus 5 kayaks for added fun.  We look forward to working with you again.

Lakeview serenity
Fabulous, as always! We LOVE freshwater rentals and this was our first time at lakeview serenity. All in all, it was fabulous. A few suggestions would be bigger towels (or have people bring their own) and maybe a curved shower rod to make the shower bigger. It was just a bit tight, but not terrible. Also, a few cutting boards, sharp knives and a cheese grater could have been helpful. Other that that, very comfy and cozy! We will definitely return!

Amy, thanks for the kudos to FVR.  We appreciate the feedback from our guests.  Thanks also for the suggestions - we will be sure to pass those on to the owners.  Lakeview Serenity is on Dana Lake in Wetmore, Michigan and sleeps 4-5.  It has a sauna, a private dock and it's dog friendly!  And, as Amy says, it's fabulous!
