Air Conditioning: There is no AC, but there are ceiling fans located in both main bedrooms and one in the living room. 


ATV's: ATVs are not permitted for use on the property. 


Animals: Deer, squirrels, chipmunks, and occasional bear are common in the area.

Bathroom #1: Ensuite to Bedroom #2: Full bath with two sinks and a shower 
Bathroom #2: Full bath with tub and shower. Washer and dryer located here as well. 


Beach/Swimming: Hunters Point Park is just .7 miles away for swimming!

Dock: There is no dock at this location


Drinking Water: Drinkable well water is used at this property. If you are sensitive to the taste, we recommend bringing bottled water along for your stay. It is common to the area to have a yellow-Ish tint caused by Tanin's, the well has been inspected, water tested and passed Health Department regulations. As it runs it may get lighter, but again the color doesn't make it unsafe in anyway.


Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.


Fireplace: There is a wood burning fireplace at this property


Fire-pit: Bring your firewood! There is a fire pit for guest use 


Fishing: Lake trout, coho salmon, and other large lake fish can be found in Lake Superior. 


Fishing License:  A license is required to fish in Michigan.


Golf: Keweenaw Mountain Lodge is 8 minutes away (3.1 miles)


Grill: There is a propane grill for guest use


Grocery Store
*The Genny AKA Gas Lite General Store is 5 minutes away (1.7 miles) They have limited grocery items, convenience snacks, camping gear and local souvenirs. 
*Pat's Foods IGA in Calumet is 48 minutes away (36.2 miles) and serves as the main grocery store in the area. You will drive right by it on your way to Copper Harbor, so we recommend stopping on the way up. 


Handicap Friendly: There are no additional features to make this property handicap friendly 


Heat: Radiant floor heating system


Hunting: Hunting is prohibited on the property. Please follow all local and state guidelines when hunting in the area. 


Internet/WIFI: 200 mbps WiFi


Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.


Parking: 3 cars and one trailer can park comfortably

Privacy:  This location is very private


Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
